Özet
Bu tez çalışması, sosyal medya üzerinden yapılan siber zorbalığın, kişilerin düşüncelerini, tutumlarını nasıl etkilediğini anlamaya yönelik olup, aynı zamanda siber zorbalığa karşı farkındalık kazandırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kişilerin sosyal medyada yapılan siber zorbalığa ilişkin fikirlerini ve tutumlarını anlamak için ilk olarak literatür taraması yapılmış, daha sonra İstanbul İli Beşiktaş İlçesi Levent semtinde 15'i kadın 15'i erkek 30 kişiyle derinlemesine görüşme yapılmıştır. Yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda kişiler sosyal medyanın insan hayatındaki yerinin farkında olup, getireceği olumsuzlukları da öngörebilmektedirler. Bu olumsuzluklardan biri olan siber zorbalığın da bir şiddet olduğunu kabul ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda kişilerin sosyal medyadaki geçirdikleri sürelere, sosyal medya hesaplarını kullanma şekillerine, sosyal medya uygulamalarındaki güvenirliliğe ait düşüncelerine, siber zorbalık hakkındaki fikirlerine ve siber zorbalığa maruz kalıp kalmamalarına ilişkin bilgilere yer verilmiştir.
In this thesis study, it was carried out in order to understand the thoughts and attitudes of people against cyberbullying on social media and at the same time to raise awareness against this cyberbullying. In order to understand people's ideas and attitudes towards cyberbullying on social media, a literature review was first conducted, and then in-depth interviews were conducted with 30 people, 15 women and 15 men, in Levent district of Istanbul Province, Beşiktaş District. In line with the information obtained from the interviews, people are aware of the place of social media in human life and can foresee the negativities it will bring. It has been determined that they accept that cyberbullying, which is one of these negativities, is also a form of violence. In this context, information about the time people spend on social media, the way they use their social media accounts, their thoughts on the reliability of social media applications, their ideas about cyberbullying and whether they are exposed to cyberbullying are included.
