IGU Faculty of Fine Arts New and Events Bulletin (Issue: 69, March 2026)

Abstract

THE OPENING EXHIBITION FOR THE 2025–2026 SPRING SEMESTER IS NOW OPEN TO VISITORS AT THE GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT! The opening exhibition of the 2025–2026 academic year's Spring Semester, organized by the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), opened to the public in the exhibition area created in the faculty's entrance hall. The exhibition was curated by Lecturer İrem Fulya Özkan. Located in the entrance hall, the exhibition area will be regularly updated throughout the spring semester. Student works produced within the scope of different courses will be included in the selection at regular intervals. This approach transforms the exhibition from a singular event into a continuous academic production space. Exhibiting student works in a public faculty space increases the visibility of design practice while contributing to the strengthening of professional self-confidence and motivation. In this respect, the exhibition is positioned as a learning and production platform that develops and renews itself throughout the semester.
