Özet
Dergimizin değerli okuyucuları, Dergimizin beşinci sayısında sizlerle birlikte olmanın heyecanını yaşıyoruz. Akademik bir derginin çıkarılma zorluğunu aşmış gözüküyoruz. Bizi bu kanıya iten en temel sebep dergimize olan ilginin giderek yoğunlaşmasıdır. Bunun yanında bir akademik dergiden beklenen bilimsel yaklaşım ve duruşu da sergilediğimizi düşünüyorum. Dergimiz, bilimsel ölçütleri ve akademik dergiciliğin değişmez kurallarını sıkı bir şekilde uygulamaktadır. Keza PROQUEST ve DOAJ gibi önemli akademik veri tabanlarının dergimizi bu sayıdan itibaren taramak istemeleri bunun kanıtıdır. Tüm bu gelişmeler çok daha nitelikli makale almamızı sağlamaktadır. Dolayısıyla en fazla sekiz makale yayınlayabildiğimiz düşünüldüğünde bu durumun bizleri tatlı bir yorgunluğa sevk ettiğini söyleyebiliriz. Hakem sürecinden geçmiş olsa bile yer darlığı nedeniyle yayımlayamadığımız birçok makale bulunmaktadır. Söz konusu makaleler derginin sonraki sayılarında yayımlanmak üzere gönderildiği tarihe göre sıraya alınmaktadır. Değerli “Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi” okuyucuları, Bu sayımızda ilgiyle okuyacağınız sekiz makale ve iki kitap incelemesi bulunmaktadır. Bu sayıya makale, kitap incelemesi ve tanıtımı gönderen değerli akademisyen ve araştırmacılara, kıymetli vakitlerini makaleleri incelemeye ayıran hakem heyetine, dergi yayın ve danışma kurulu üyelerine, yazı kuruluna ve emeği geçen herkese teşekkür eder, bir sonraki sayıda buluşmak üzere hepinize saygılar sunarım. Dear Readers, We are very excited to present the fifth issue of Journal of Social Sciences. The increasing interest in our journal clearly shows that we managed to overcome the difficulties of academic publishing. Moreover, we adopt a scientific approach, which is required for quality of academic publishing. Our journal strictly applies scientific criteria and fundamental rules of academic publishing. From this issue on our journal has been added into the international indexes including PROQUEST and DOAJ, which proves the scientific approach and academic quality of our journal. All these developments enable us to receive an increasing number of high quality academic articles. Since we can only allow for maximum of eight articles in each issue the selection of articles drag us to a happy weariness. We need to acknowledge that there are many articles that could not be published in this issue although they have been evaluated and approved by our referees. The articles that are approved but not published in the current issue are put in queue for publication based on their date of submission. Dear readers of “Journal of Social Sciences”, In this issue, you will find eight articles and two book reviews, which we believe you will read with interest. I would like to thank the esteemed academicians and researchers who submitted articles, book reviews; and the referees who kindly devoted their valuable time for reviewing the submitted works. I also would like to extend my gratitude to the members of the Advisory Board and of the Publication Board; as well as the staff who contributed to our journal.
