Öğe China’s Hajj Affairs under the Perspective of National Security(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Yayınları / Istanbul Gelisim University Press, 2018-05-25) Niu, SongSince the founding of People’s Republic of China (PRC), China has formed a Hajj management mode which is led by the government and underscores the securitization of the Hajj. This is not only a reasonable choice under specific historical background, but also an important bond in the relationship between PRC and Saudi Arabia. Nevertheless, with the development of the times, the difficulties for Chinese Muslims obtaining the Hajj chance has become an indisputable fact. The consequently securitization of the Hajj and de-securitization of the Hajj should have to be arranged according to the change of times. Only to clarify the specific functions of the relevant departments as well as the introduction of market mechanisms on the management and organization of the Hajj, that is, government making macro policy, the Islamic associations providing ancillary services, and travel agency launching specific business for Hajj, can truly solve the contradiction between the “difficulties in the Hajj” and the maintenance of China’s national security.Öğe An Overview of the Middle East Immigrants in the EU: Origin, Status Quo and Challenges*(İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi Yayınları / Istanbul Gelisim University Press, 2016-10-07) Niu, Song; Fan, BingEU has the most inhabited immigrant population; it has up to a population of 56 million foreign-born people. The rise and expansion of Islamic international system in this region are closely related to the revival of Islamic trend of thoughts.
