The continuous change of production with today’s technological speed, and the loss of use of many industrial structures, which were used especially in the 19th century, brought the reuse of these structures and usage suggestions for different functions have been introduced. Industry heritage takes an important part in the sustainable development of the city. Olivetti’s sustainable project is mostly based on the link between an ethical concept and a development-oriented idea (Castano, Gallo, 2013). The spreading of industrial structures in the Olivetti campuses to the region, ensuring production and sales, attracted attention from service optimization to the quality of life and the environment. Understanding the philosophy of Olivetti Settlements, which took its place in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018, will contribute to the concept of Industrial Heritage and the sustainable development of cities. © Peter Lang GmbH Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften Berlin 2021 All rights reserved.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessIndustrial heritage; Olivetti; Reuse; Sustainability; UNESCOUnderstanding Olivetti Factory as a Sustainable Industrial HeritageBook Chapter4054222-s2.0-85179294914N/A
